Our Ideas and Experience for the collective Success
This is our slogan, because behind Numaco there are mainly people. Our employees, partners and suppliers join one common goal: with our ideas and experience we want to fulfill your confidence and demonstrate together our strenghth and performance on the job.
Numaco was founded in 1980 in Zurich as a private stock company. The aim and purpose was to distribute mobile data acquisition devices of the US manufacturer Telxon in Switzerland. Maintaining the equipment and systems in operation was a key part of the business.
The founders of the company were less interested in the company's growth than in creating a creative work envi-ronment in which the employees could develop themselves and let their dreams come true. This philosophy still applies to the same extent today
After a short time, development contracts for other applications could be realized, such as printer and computer interfaces, dosing systems or barcode capture devices. A new phase began when entering the labelling world and focusing on the development of proprietary printers and applicators. In particular, the development of specialized software for the chemical and pharmaceutical industries became a core competence.
Due to the rapid development in the computer and printer sector, the emphasis has increasingly been placed on the development and implementation of integrated label printing applications. Our many years of experience as a product and system developer allow us to develop turnkey systems by combining standard products with cus-tomized software into an automated system.
However, the business units barcode capture and consumables continued to be competently maintained.
Independent consulting in the regulated environment of the manufacture of pharmaceutical products and medi-cal devices became a core competence over the years. Our experience of more than 20 years working for cus-tomers is the basis for successful projects based on GxP, GHS, GS1 or AIAG standards.

We operate as a product independent consultant for labeling and barcode data acquisition, especially in the regulated areas of pharmaceutical and medical device technology.

We develop software for the integration of standard products in customer-specific environments.
